About

Year-round sports training and athletic competition in Olympic-type sports for kids and adults with intellectual disabilities, run through Palm Beach County Parks & Recreation. The program serves over 1,500 athletes countywide and focuses on building physical fitness while creating opportunities for athletes to connect with families and the broader community. Young Athletes offers a standout program for ages 2-7, with free Saturday sessions where families play together through sports activities that build physical and social skills. Volunteer and coaching opportunities are available throughout the county, with training courses for those interested in becoming certified coaches.

Families play together in our Free community based program on Saturdays!     Ages 817· Free

    Kids with intellectual disabilities train in Olympic-type sports with certified Special Olympics coaches. The program builds toward athletic competitions and serves children throughout the county who want to develop their physical fitness and sports skills.

    Ages 27· Saturday· Free

    Children with intellectual disabilities work on basic physical activities and social skills through fun sports play activities. Families participate together in Saturday sessions designed specifically for toddlers and preschoolers with developmental needs.
