About

A 98-acre natural preserve with two walking trails and an observation tower where kids can spot gopher tortoises and wading birds. The paved Cottonweed Trail runs a quarter mile while the sandy Eastern Pondhawk Trail extends through 1.5 miles of rare Florida scrub habitat and restored wetlands. Perfect for families wanting an easy nature walk with kids who enjoy wildlife spotting and trail markers. The observation tower gives kids elevated views of the preserve and makes a good cool-off spot. The paved section works well for younger kids, and the whole loop takes about 45 minutes with little ones.
