About

Contemporary and creative movement classes start as early as age 2 with parent-child sessions, then move into independent creative dance for preschoolers and pre-ballet foundations. Dance Theater of Florida merged with the Florida School for Dance Education to expand training depth across all levels, with each level built on a custom syllabus designed by the director to ensure kids master skills before advancing. Your kid can start in toddler classes or jump in at any age and skill level. Classes run 45 minutes at the early levels, and faculty decide pacing through the curriculum individually. Performances happen regularly through the company's in-house productions, giving dancers real stage experience beyond the studio.

Dance Theater of Florida is a non-profit pre-professional youth dance company, and a premier dance education center located in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Dance Theater offers a full complement of dance instruction to all levels of students. Historically, dance education was offered under Florida School for Dance Education and Dance Theater of Florida was home to the pre-professional dance company. In 2024, all offerings of dance education including the company and productions were folded into Dance Theater of Florida
