Riding lessons for kids starting at age 4 and summer camps for ages 5 and up run by head trainer Jane Fennessy, who's been building this program since 1982. The academy teaches beginners through advanced riders on safe school horses, focusing on hunt seat disciplines and what they call the "art of horsemanship." Summer camps run full days and include daily riding lessons plus horse care, grooming, and crafts. The facility is about 30 minutes from Wellington with multiple rings for different skill levels.

• Summer Riding Camp

  Kids get daily riding lessons plus hands-on horse care including grooming, bathing, and learning about tack and horse behavior. Your child doesn't need any riding experience to join. The camp provides safety helmets and all grooming supplies, and runs three one-week sessions during the summer.
